Montreal, October 13, 2011 – Gilles Létourneau, President and CEO of GFI Solutions Group Inc. (“GFI Solutions”), a Canadian IT leader, is pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine Allard, CA, to the position of Executive Vice-president and Chief Financial Officer of the company.
Ms. Allard has over 25 years experience in business and financial management, specifically in the areas of the disclosure of financial information, governance, acquisitions, financing, and the restructuring of international public and private corporations. “I am pleased to bring Catherine Allard’s outstanding managerial skills to GFI Solutions,” said Gilles Létourneau. “Her background will prove invaluable as we pursue our growth strategy both organically and through acquisitions.”
Prior to joining GFI Solutions, Catherine Allard held senior positions that allowed her to add some impressive achievements to her credit. Until recently, she was Chief Financial Officer at Stingray Digital, where she carried out several acquisition and funding projects. Previously, she had also held similar positions at Mediagrif Interactive Technologies Inc., a global leader in the operation of e-business solutions. After beginning her career at KPMG in Montreal, London and Amsterdam, Ms. Allard pursued her career at the international level, occupying strategic positions at Telesystem International Wireless Inc. in both Montreal and Bucharest.
Catherine Allard graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montreal. She is a member of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Quebec and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and sits on the board of the Quebec Chapter of FEI Canada (Financial Executives International Canada).
