Montréal, January 28, 2008 — After a very promising first year, GFI Solutions Inc., a leader in IT consulting services in Québec, is proud to support the Computer Science Games again this year. The Games will be held at Université de Sherbrooke from March 7 through March 9, 2008. As a sponsor of the event, GFI is delighted to participate in the CS Games in order to encourage up-and-coming IT experts.

The CS Games is a University-level competition designed for undergraduates in the field of computer sciences. For 3 days, more than 300 contestants from 30 North-American universities will face individual and team challenges in all aspects of computing. The competition will cover the full range of computer sciences disciplines, ranging from software development to video games, and even algorithms.

The theme for CS Games 2008 is “Old school”, and the best talents in COBOL, BASIC, and FORTRAN programming will be showcased. On the video game side, competitors will tackle Time Attack and Mario Bros, and maybe even the Commodore system, for those who are still familiar with this platform…
