GFI Solutions’s President and CEO finalist for the PDG de l’année SGF prize

The president and chief executive officer has been selected for the second year running in recognition of his leadership following a second significant acquisition in less than 9 months.

Montréal, Québec, February 8, 2010 – GFI Solutions Group Inc. (GFI), a leader in the field of IT solutions in Canada, is proud to announce the selection of Mr. Gilles Létourneau, President and Chief Executive Officer of GFI, as one of three finalists for the 2010 ‘PDG de l’année SGF’ prize. The ‘Association québécoise des technologies’ (AQT) will announce the winner at its Vision PDG event to be held on February 18th at the Hôtel Fairmont Tremblant. Mr. Létourneau was nominated for the leadership he demonstrated in the acquisition of Fortsum Business Solutions Inc. in May 2009 as well as for his contribution to the growth of the Québec IT industry.

The acquisition of Fortsum Business Solutions represents a milestone in GFI’s growth-by-acquisition plan and positions the corporation as an accounting and ERP solutions leader in Québec and the rest of Canada. Having affirmed its place in its niche markets, GFI has reached an important threshold number of customers in the pan-Canadian SMB and large organization markets. The power of its position will open doors for new opportunities for expansion and may entice a larger number of players to participate in GFI’s success and future growth.
