The event is in support of the community social pediatrics network
Montreal (QC), June 22, 2016 – ACCEO Solutions Inc. (ACCEO), a Canadian leader in IT and business solutions for SMBs, is pleased to announce the fourth edition of ACCEO’s Race for the Children. The event, in support of the community social pediatrics network and Fondation du Dr Julien, is taking place on September 10.
This year, the goal is to bring together more than 150 runners from ACCEO, the Fondation, and the community to participate in relays which begin at a number of different towns between Québec and Montreal. The race, which spans a total of more than 250 km, has its finish line in Montreal. The company has set a fundraising objective of $150,000, which will go toward both the development of community social pediatrics throughout Quebec and the Grand Galop community social pediatrics centre (CSPC) in Saint-Hyacinthe in particular.
“It is with renewed enthusiasm that we once again kick off one of ACCEO’s most special community-supporting activities,” says Gilles Létourneau, president and CEO of ACCEO. “Every year, our team outdoes itself to make the event even bigger in order to make a difference in needy communities. This year is no exception.”
“It’s really encouraging to see a company like ACCEO and its employees so committed to improving the lot of vulnerable children in Quebec. Thanks to their generosity, we can offer more services and expand our little team to be able to welcome new children – which will itself require us to find a bigger space than the one we currently occupy,” says David Bousquet, president of the Grand Galop CSPC.
The race ends with a big neighbourhood party for all the participants and community members. The celebration starts at 4:00 p.m., at Parc Hochelaga – a stone’s throw away from the Fondation du Dr Julien Hochelaga-Maisonneuve CSPC. ACCEO invites anyone interested in participating in the race or making a donation to visit course.acceo.com for more details.
