Mariano Rodriguez appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Montréal (Québec), May 7, 2009 – Gilles Létourneau, President and Chief Executive Officer of GFI Solutions Group Inc. (“GFI”), a leading Canadian IT consulting firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Mariano Rodriguez as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at GFI, effective May 25th.

Mr. Rodriguez brings more than 17 years experience in finance, acquisitions and restructuring of public and private companies, thanks to which he will help consolidate the management team already in place at GFI. Additionally, Mr. Rodriguez will prove invaluable in deploying GFI’s growth strategy through targeted acquisitions, for which he can count on a seasoned team. Over the years, Mr. Rodriguez has concluded several operations through debt and equity financing with companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange or NASDAQ. He also played a key role in the growth of several multinational companies, some of which had consolidated revenues of up to $C 350 million.

Prior to joining GFI, Mr. Rodriguez served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for BELLUS Health during four years in addition to assuming taxation matters and business development. Previously, Mr. Rodriguez was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Galileo Genomics inc. and Vice President, Finance and Administration for Best-Seller Inc., an enterprise software development firm. Mr. Rodriguez also held positions as Corporate Controller and Director of Finance at Phoenix International Life Sciences. He began his career at Ernst & Young LLP.

Mr. Rodriguez is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Public Accountant, and a graduate of McGill University. He has received several awards in commerce, and taxation.
